Sanctuary of Monte della Madonna at Teolo. The Marian sanctuary stands on the peak of Monte della Madonna, at an altitude of 526 meters, the second highest of the Colli Euganei, with an enviable view over the entire Veneto lowlands. It was place of pilgrimage in ancient times, inhabited by men in search of God through prayer in the solitude of the hermit’s life, and certainly one of the oldest centers of Marian devotion in the diocese of Padua. The first document that mentions the existence of the church of the Mountain dates from 1253.
