Franciscan Missionary Museum at Monselice

Since 1992, a wide hall of the Franciscan Missionary Museum at Monselice displays items brought to Italy by missionaries and once spread around the various convents and monasteries in the Veneto area. The Chinese culture is well represented here with tapestries, clothes, coins, majolica, and items made of bronze, wood and jade dated to various ages, even pre-Christian age. The museum holdings include also items of great artistic, historical and religious value coming from all over the world: Japan, Africa, Central America, the Philippines, Albania, India and Palestine. The museum collections cataloguing is still incomplete. Usual visitors are pupils and students with teachers.
