The secret of the mud therapy practised at the Euganean Thermal baths lies in the water which comes from the pre-Alpine basins and resurfaces in the region of Montegrotto Terme at a temperature of 87°C, enriched with minerals. Unparalleled for its salt, bromine and iodine properties, this water is the basis for the development, preservation and renewal of thermal mud, a process which is regularly monitored by the University of Padua and the “Pietro d'Abano” centre for thermal studies.
